WordPress is a robust, open source blogging and content management software system used by NetPresence since 2005. While anyone can start a blog at wordpress.COM, NetPresence specializes in delivering custom versions of self-hosted WordPress, downloadable from wordpress.ORG.
Many small businesses and community groups favor WordPress because it allows them to update and maintain their Web sites without the need for any special software or extended training. Nonetheless, WordPress is robust enough that it is used by global news agencies such as CNN and Reuters, luminaries like Martha Stewart, and politicians like the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
Thus WordPress combines “industrial strength” with ease of use. All you need is a Web browser and you can add, edit and remove pages in your Web site. For the benefit of our clients we have compiled a little series of documents and links intended to help dispel whatever mystery there might be surrounding the use of this tool.
